The Southern Academic Forum will be a standalone project of the Southern Transitional Council and will be supported and supervised by the STC through the STC Office in the United Kingdom to whom it will report and be accountable.

The STC will support the Southern Academic Forum financially and in any other way necessary in order to allow it to deliver and achieve its aims.

• Support, encourage, promote, advance and celebrate educational and academic achievements.
• Collect and build a database of Southern academics, professionals and highly skilled members of the Southern diaspora in the UK who will form the general membership of the Forum.
• Encourage and support the utilisation of the skills and expertise of its members to help relief hardship and advance prosperity in the South.
• Create links and build relationships with educational institutions and similar aim projects and initiatives in the South.
• Organise academic events including lectures, seminars and similar knowledge sharing activities.
• Enhance exposure and secure support for the initiative within South Yemeni community in the UK and worldwide.
